SPEECH BY HON. MAZI UGOCHUKWU OBI

My dear brothers and sisters, members of the Ugo Umunneochi Grassroots Organization, distinguished leaders, youths, women, elders, and great people of Umunneochi, I greet you all warmly today.

First and foremost, I want to sincerely thank every one of you for your unwavering loyalty, steadfastness, sacrifices, and commitment to our collective vision for a greater Umunneochi Local Government Area. Your dedication throughout this journey has been inspiring, encouraging, and deeply appreciated. You stood firm in difficult moments, remained hopeful in uncertain times, and continued to believe in the dream we all share for our people.

Today, I speak to you not with bitterness or discouragement, but with hope, gratitude, and renewed determination. Yes, recent events may have brought temporary disappointment to many of us. We may have expected a different outcome, and naturally, some people may feel hurt or discouraged. But my dear people, I urge you not to despair. Temporary setbacks must never destroy permanent visions.

History has shown us that every great movement encounters obstacles before achieving victory. Sometimes our time may not be now, but that does not mean our time will never come. Delays are not denials. Challenges are not the end of the road. What matters most is our ability to remain united, focused, and committed to the ideals we believe in.

I want to especially commend the Ugo Umunneochi Grassroots Organization for standing strong and peaceful throughout this process. Your maturity, discipline, and unwavering support demonstrate the strength of our movement and the sincerity of our mission. I am proud of every one of you.

At this critical point in our state’s history, I also urge all of us to continue supporting our dear Governor, His Excellency Alex Otti, OFR, as he works tirelessly and assiduously to reposition Abia State to an enviable height. The governor has shown commitment, courage, and determination in restoring the dignity and pride of our dear state. Across different sectors, the signs of transformation are becoming visible, and it is our collective responsibility as progressive citizens to encourage and support every genuine effort aimed at moving Abia State forward.

Let me clearly state that supporting the reelection bid of Governor Alex Otti is not just a political decision; it is a responsibility for all those who genuinely desire continuity, development, accountability, and good governance in Abia State. We must remain united in ensuring that the progress currently taking place is sustained for the benefit of future generations.

To our youths, remain peaceful and productive. To our women, continue praying and supporting the movement. To our elders and leaders, thank you for your wisdom and guidance. Together, we shall continue to work for the progress, unity, and development of Umunneochi.

I assure you all that our dream for a better Umunneochi is still alive. Our passion remains strong, and our commitment remains unshaken. By the grace of God, with patience, perseverance, unity, and faith, victory will surely come.

May God bless Umunneochi.

May God bless Abia State.

Thank you all.
