My brothers and sisters of Umunneochi… I stand before you today because I heard a call.A call that began in the quiet places of the spirit, a call strengthened by the cries of our mothers, the struggles of our fathers, and the dreams of our children. I did not choose this journey lightly. I was sent—sent by conscience, sent by destiny, and sent by a land that is tired of suffering in silence.Umunneochi is blessed with gifted sons and daughters, but she is still searching for those who truly listen to her heartbeat. I have listened. I have felt her pain and her hopes. She has whispered her secrets to me—secrets of what she once was and what she longs to be again. And today, I stand before you, ready to answer her call.

For too long, we have watched politicians rise to office only to enrich themselves, forgetting the people who trusted them. Enough is enough. Umunneochi deserves leaders who tremble at the thought of betraying her, leaders who protect her, uplift her, and honour her.My people, look around you—Our roads are broken. Our youths are migrating or drowning in addiction.

Our parents can no longer farm because they fear kidnappers. Our sons are in prisons in Nigeria and abroad. Our streams, once places of peace, now echo with silence. Is this the Umunneochi we want to hand over to our children? No. And this is why I stand here today.I have a plan—A plan to restore security, empower vigilantes, and bring safety back into our communities.A plan to revive farming, build industries, attract investors, and create jobs.A plan to restore electricity, build media houses, and develop markets that lift families out of poverty.

A plan to make Umunneochi a home where dreams are not suffocated but supported. This is our time.A time of awakening.A time to choose leaders with clean hands, clear minds, and courageous hearts.A time to rise as the sleeping lions of Umunneochi and take back our destiny. And with humility, but with firm conviction, I declare today:I, Ugochukwu I. Obi, am ready to serve you.Not as a ruler, but as a servant. Not for wealth, but for legacy. Not for ambition, but for destiny.Together, we will build the Umunneochi our ancestors prayed for and our children deserve.Umunneochi, the time is now.Our future begins today.Send me, and I will serve you.

Obi on His Commitment to Serve UmunneochiI wish to formally announce my intention to serve the people of Umunneochi. This decision follows a profound calling—spiritual, moral, and communal—to restore dignity, security, and prosperity to our land.Umunneochi has suffered years of neglect, insecurity, and stalled development. Our farmers can no longer access their lands due to threats of kidnapping. Our youths face unemployment, drug abuse, and lack of opportunities. A united Umunneochi where leadership is transparent and accountable.A hopeful Umunneochi where youths can rise, innovate, and build their futures at home.I will prioritize security, infrastructure, economic rejuvenation, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance. Community vigilantes will be strengthened and funded. Industries and investors will be brought into the LGA. Modern media platforms will be established to amplify our voice. Our waterways will be restored, and our natural resources developed responsibly. This aspiration is not about personal ambition—it is about responsibility. It is about answering the call of a people longing for change.I ask the good people of Umunneochi to unite with me as we begin this journey of restoration. Our best days are ahead, and together we will build the Umunneochi our ancestors dreamed of and our children deserve.
