Hon. Mazi Ugochukwu Obi has reaffirmed that Umunneochi Local Government Area remains united and committed to pursuing a shared vision of peace, progress, and development despite differing interests among individuals.
Speaking with newsmen, Ugo Umunneochi stressed that while disagreements and personal ambitions may arise from time to time, they should never be allowed to threaten the unity and brotherhood that bind the people of Umunneochi together.
“Umunneochi is one united entity, and no personal ambition can put us at daggers drawn against one another,” he said.
Hon. Obi noted that the people of the local government area have consistently demonstrated resilience (Obi dimkpa ka ha eji akwudosike mgbeobule), and solidarity, especially in confronting security challenges that once affected the area. He praised the collective efforts of community leaders at all levels, youths, women, and security agencies in driving out marauders who had previously disrupted peace within the LGA.
“Our greatest strength lies in our unity and resilience. Together, we stood against those who threatened our communities, and together we overcame,” he boosted.
He urged residents/stakeholders to continue placing the collective interest of Umunneochi above individual or political differences, adding that sustainable development can only be achieved through cooperation and mutual understanding.
According to him, the future of Umunneochi depends on maintaining peaceful environment, strengthening community ties, and working together toward common goals.
“We will continue to remain one indivisible people, committed to achieving lasting progress and meaningful development for Umunneochi Local Government Area,” Hon. Obi concluded.
