It is a clarion call to all Abians to rise above mediocrity, division, selfishness, and destructive politics, and to embrace a higher sense of belonging, unity of purpose, discipline, accountability, and progressive thinking. Sadly, however, as with every human institution, a few misguided individuals have found their way into this noble structure. These are people who have refused to “arise” in character, conduct, and conscience even after associating themselves with Abia Arise. Instead of aligning with its vision, they sow seeds of confusion, promote backwardness, and align with political enemies driven by selfish ambitions and divergent ideologies. Through gossip, internal sabotage, and divide-and-rule tactics, they attempt to undermine the noble intention of the principal and tarnish the image of a movement built on hope and integrity. Such conduct is unacceptable and must not be tolerated.
Let it be stated clearly and without ambiguity: Abia Arise is not a political structure for criminality, corruption, or moral decadence. It is not a refuge for people seeking relevance through disorder or survival through sabotage. Those who intend to hijack the movement or give it a bad name have already failed. The leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex C. Otti, OFR, combined with the moral authority of well-meaning leaders of integrity such as Hon. Mazi Ugochukwu I. Obi and other credible stakeholders, will ensure that Abia Arise remains pure, disciplined, and corruption-free.
Anyone hiding under the umbrella of Abia Arise in Umunneochi or anywhere else to promote criminality, division, hatred, or destructive politics must desist immediately or be flushed out without hesitation. The future of Abia State is too important to be sacrificed on the altar of personal greed, ego, or political mischief. Abia Arise must remain a sanctuary for patriots, not a playground for political mercenaries.
The progressive governance of Dr. Alex C. Otti has ushered in a new dawn in Abia State. Across sectors—finance, infrastructure, urban renewal, education, healthcare, and civil service reforms—Abians are witnessing a clear departure from the old order of decay and impunity. For the first time in a long while, governance in Abia is being driven by competence, transparency, and measurable outcomes. Roads are being fixed, public confidence is being restored, salaries and pensions are being paid, and Aba is regaining its pride of place as a commercial nerve center.
This momentum must not be interrupted. Abia Arise therefore carries a sacred responsibility: to protect this transformational agenda and to ensure continuity beyond 2027. The movement must stand firm against every political weight, hidden agenda, and desperate ambition seeking to derail the rebuilding of Abia State. There is only one Governor of Abia State today—Dr. Alex C. Otti—and there must be only one Governor in 2027. He must be re-elected to consolidate the gains of his first term and complete the historic work he has started.
Come 2027, Abia Arise must translate conviction into votes. Ugo Umunneochi Grassroots Organization (UUGO), Abia Arise umunneochi and the entire people of Umunneochi Local Government Area are poised to deliver over 30,000 votes in solid and united support of Governor Otti’s re-election. This is not mere rhetoric; it is a declaration of intent. It is a reflection of the deep appreciation of the people for purposeful leadership and their determination to sustain good governance. Other local governments must rise to this challenge and match or surpass this commitment.
Abia Arise is a movement of action, not excuses. There is no space within this structure for laziness, indiscipline, opportunism, or lackadaisical attitudes. The days of armchair criticism without contribution are over. Members of Abia Arise must be field workers, grassroots mobilizers, community educators, and ambassadors of good governance. We must work the work and talk the talk. Our collective effort must yield visible, measurable, and lasting results.
The re-election of Dr. Alex C. Otti in 2027 is not just a political project; it is a moral duty. Abia must also arise above gossip, complacency, and carelessness. In this spirit, we also look forward to landmark projects that will redefine regional commerce and food security, such as the transformation of the Lokpa Cattle Market into a world-class international market. This single project alone holds the potential to generate massive employment, boost internally generated revenue, stabilize food supply chains, and position Abia as a major agro-trading hub in the South-East and beyond.
Abia Arise must be the engine room that drives these aspirations from vision to reality. Finally, Abia Arise is a call to conscience, character, and continuity. It is a movement rooted in hope, powered by discipline, and guided by integrity.
